Others prefer to make more money by selling papa seca. In order to make papa seca, people boil sacks of potatoes, peel them, cut them into wedges, and dry them under the sun. Once the potatoes are dried, they’re grinded into small pieces to get papa seca─ which is sold at a higher price than potatoes. Since this is the dry season now, people are making papa seca these months; so, there are always streets with sidewalks covered with potatoes being dried these days.
