THERE IS ALWAYS A CHIFA
Grammar Point: Relative Pronouns

In every city of Peru, there are chifas, which are restaurants that sell Peruvian-style Chinese food─also called chifa. Chifas are not only in all the cities that I have visited in my country but also in many of my memories. For example, I started my current adventure, which is now getting to its end, more than a year ago in Sullana. It was at a chifa, where I ran into friends who were doing relief work after last year’s mudslides. Last weekend─a few months before going back home, I had one of my last visits to Trujillo as a volunteer. Coincidentally, I ate chifa with a group of other volunteers, whom I will always remember. I am sure most Peruvians have good memories related to chifas.
