“A COMBINADO, PLEASE”
Grammar Point: Prepositions of Time
There is a woman who sells puddings on a corner in Otuzco. She gets there at 5:00 in the afternoon and stays until 8:00 at night, both on weekdays and weekends. Sometimes, especially when it is cold, I buy a combinado. A combinado is, basically, rice pudding and purple corn pudding served in the same tupperware. It looks good because you see the contrast between the white and the purple. It also tastes good. Rice pudding is sweeter than the other. Purple corn pudding is a little bit tart. They are a good mix! She puts powdered cinnamon on it. You can feel the smell of the cinnamon when the combinado is still warm! Today, I want to thank God for the combinado at my evening breaks.
