A ROOSTER IN THE STREET
Grammar Point: Quantifiers
Small towns like Otuzco have a little crime. As a result, people here feel safe─to a certain extent. For example, when they go to a nearby store, some people leave the doors of their houses unlocked─sometimes opened. During harvest time, there isn’t any rain; so, a good number of people leave their produce in big sacks in front of their houses. They don’t worry so much about robbers because there aren’t many here. That’s why it is common to see a lot of chickens in the street, walking and eating what they can find on the roads. Even chickens feel safe here! Maybe, it is because there is always a brave rooster in the street to protect them from dogs and pigs!
